i just want this suffering to be over
neither a writing plan post nor a wip graveyard i just want an excuse to talk about all of my active (and some status unknown) wips and not do the writing itself!! yes i'm the world's slowest writer yes i'm the most terrible procrastinator and what about it. also maybe by talking about them in public someone would pressure me to write them!!
anyways half of these wips are gifts for yun (2020 birthday, 2021 birthday gift, christmas gift....) but i don't think she's on dw often enough to see this post lmao (but if you're reading this yun i am so so sorry)
nayeon/seungcheol poetry club au

i totally stole the idea for this fic from yun herself!!! based on her own experience of a dude buying her bicycle and being a total psycho about it and then she met him again some time after that because they worked at the same place. she told me about this story last year (june 2020 to be exact when we met up at our favourite cafe after lockdown was lifted) and i laughed so hard at the cafe. to be fair her birthday had passed then but i felt bad that i didn't do anything (esp since i wrote sapphy a fic for her birthday the previous year, and ellie the year before). i honestly planned this to be a quick one but obviously it wasn't. then after being stuck at one scene for so long + not being able to figure out a key motive in the storyline i decided to abandon it. recently i went back to the doc and stared at the same scene and tried to resolve it. i haven't done much progress but it's there!!! let's hope i can get it done before xmas. if not you never saw this.

admittedly i pl*giarized the idea from a super cringey local movie...... also admittedly this was the plan b for my olymfics 2019 entry (i had four back ups in total + the original idea and what i ended up finishing/posting was my plan d) yes i know. anyways this wip was supposed to be dead forever because i wrote a grand total of one scene before i abandoned it, but somehow i came across it again a few months ago and thought. wait. this is good. me from few months ago was wrong it's not good and now it's making me suffer!!!
jaemin/renjun 2025 canon divergence

also what i refer to as a luhan au. i'd been so obsessed with the idea and i worked on it like a mad woman but i kinda overcomplicated things and started overthinking, and then i burned out. i wrote and deleted a bunch of scenes because nothing sounds right and i could no longer figure out which direction i wanted to take. deep down i still hope to finish this wip but i'm still too afraid to look at it T____T

i told sapphy about this fic some time ago and described it as "shida as a fic" which just means = high school, childhood friendship, unrequited feelings, holding onto the last moments together before you separate possibly forever, absolutely no plot. i started writing this late 2019 and intended this to be a quick thing too but i started including a whole bunch of details and it became a monster. it's not even halfway done and it's already more than 5k???? tbh i started this simultaneously with the jaemren canon so that i could give my brain a break in between, but it ended up stressing me out too omg. i still work on this every now and then but i don't know when or if i will ever finish it.

i honestly can't remember if this was one of my rejected back ups or my 2019 birthday gift for yun, but it's just there in my gdoc. there was a different version but i reconstructed the whole thing and started writing again from scratch. i mean, why write a new scene when you rewrite the same scene a hundred times, right. tbh the main problem about this wip is that i don't know how to write dowoon. what is a dowoon. how do you write dowoon. if you do please tell me.

most of my wips here are from 2019-2020 but this is the oldest! i actually forgot why i decided to write this in the first place, but in 2018 i wrote kind of a light years spin off lol and then i realized that i missed this au a lot. i think i just wanted to write about jinyoung in the next phase of his life, but being human moving on from something that used to be a huge part of yourself is not that easy. after i started writing this i realized that the idea is kinda similar to norwegian wood lol. anyways i stopped writing it bc i got stuck at one scene, but then things happened, and i started questioning whether continuing this is the right thing to do... i went back to it just recently, improved some parts, and then decided to pick it up again as a way to cherish all the memories that came with the entire au. i still don't know when i can ever finish writing this one, but i just want to put it out here.
