um sorry to have broken ears but i loved almost everything number_i put out!! love their chaotic nonsensical noise music so much and also love that they released goat on 1st jan 2024. i still remember watching the mv that midnight and listening to the song and going ??????????????? little did i know the confusion was gonna become an obsession. inzm is my favourite release from them so far though i’m soooo obsessed with the video game sound and rock influence of it truly catered to me!!!! also the way they actually released a (hyper band version) hjshshshs
loooooove superboy so much i love the fact the song is almost like a regular conversation between two friends catching up at some family restaurant. and starting the song so casually with “speaking of which, the other day, you see, i had free time so i went back to my hometown” and going on talking about things and memories from their hometown and childhood days that sound so real. also hokuto’s voice is so perfect for this kind of song.
faster than me is a late addition since it was released late last year, but it would have been higher in the list if the song was longer :\ as it is, it just feels so incomplete that it bothers me every time i listen to it even though i love the song so much.

taemin’s g.o.a.t. would’ve been my ultimate work out if i had actually worked out… love that he’s trying more genres and at the same time still sticking to his personal favourite genre (ballad lmao). also love that yoon san wrote this song (as well as a couple others)!!!! never expected this crossover ever but really stars always align for me.
love everything newjeans put out last year!! i didn’t like super shy and the mini album was a bit underwhelming to me even though the other songs were good… devastated that we’re not gonna get any new newjeans music for a while. also loved ive’s switch mini a lot and heya-accendio-blue heart-ice queen is quite an insane track run to me.

looking at my list now i belatedly realized that i did not watch that many dramas in 2024 compared to the previous years and it was actually hard to pick my top 5. ichiban suki na hana was undoubtedly my favourite though (despite the criticisms towards her i am a ubukata miku fan). that said umi no hajimari didn’t really cut it for me however although i did love some of the scenes and the characters.
9 border was soooo good actually although nana felt a little bit like a recycled kurumi. i was invested in the nana/yota/hatsumi triangle and actually rooted for yota/nana childhood neighbourhood i-know-that-face-you’re-making friends in the first half despite knowing that it was doomed all along. also obsessed with hatsumi’s casual cooking/plating talent/hobby i wish her instagram was real.

look i watched a grand total of 7 kr dramas last year so it’s not like it’s that hard to choose. and it’s not hard to choose fbc as my most favourite drama bc 1) it has my favourite tropes 2) it did my most favourite trope of all justice 3) it actually was the best one i watched last year.
unfortunately for me i did fall victim to songkangism through my demon, but i did really enjoy the drama despite being fanservicey and kind of 2010ish in the plot building. on the other hand eunu’s acting in wonderful world was sooooo good i had so much feelings about this drama and his character and i’m just so grateful that this project came to him at the period of his life.

koi wazurai no ellie changed my life lmao…… i can’t explain how good it is bc i know it could come off weird to some people (esp if you’re not used to jpn humour) but i’m obsessed with it i actually make a point to rewatch it every time i see it in the inflight entertainment catalogue lol. admittedly i watched the movie for miyase ryubi but hara nanoka is so perfect she’s the main reason i keep coming back.
lmao i know wonderland being ranked above kaibutsu is controversial but i honest to god love wonderland’s plot a lot and i’m especially obsessed with suzy and bogum’s. it’s such a shame the execution was bad bc they really had the vision.

technically universe league ended in 2025 but i have so much to say about this show so i’m including this now so that i won’t forget. i have no idea how i ended up watching the entirety of universe league since i’ve never watched any survival shows and never planned to watch one, but i’m kinda glad this is the one i decided to watch. the thing is this show had the vision (the concept of starting team and bench team, drafting, reshuffling and trading were new me) but it was also blasphemous bc they made it so unfair towards the first team to make a mistake and lose the first round. unfortunately for that happened to the team that i supported lol but at the very least the final lineup is so good. also the final episode is so hilarious bc there’s so much technical lag and awkward moments and bad/weird positioning?????? and why did it end like that???????????? omg towards the end of the show i could feel more than ever that jay park would never return to host another survival show in his life sjkhjfksks
